I thought by now I would be hating my hair, but I am actually looking forward to the color change (without dye!). The transition is fascinating, seeing the changes and wondering what my final haircolor will look like.

I’m also excited to have lighter hair overall at the end of this transition, and the ability to finally use the hair chalk for temporary day highlights. My hair has been dyed so dark, they just don’t work in my hair.

Here is my growth at about 10 weeks. I had one of my girls French braid it and I don’t hate it at all. In fact, it’s kinda funky and modern thanks to all of the grey/silver dye-jobs around these days, and frankly the “normalization” of exposed roots and different colors in your hair.
