This was our first year running this race. We’ve run the Bolder Boulder on Memorial weekend a few times, but we decided to find races that better fit the mission of helping veterans. You can find this one at: MEMORIAL DAY RUN & MARCH | To help feed homeless Veterans (memorialdaymarch.com)
It was a very sunny morning and HOT! I felt for the men and women in uniform, it was toasty and humid. It was also rather hilly. It was a fun 10K though, and I’m so happy we got a chance to show the girls some heroes in uniform. We stayed for a couple hours and cheered them on.
Poor hubby overshot the 10K turnaround and ended up running about a half mile too long, and it really messed up his time. My time wasn’t too bad, my second fastest 10K out of 9, but ironically I placed second in my age group 40-49 (out of 5).
One week to our half marathon in South Dakota! Then we have to find one more half marathon before Hubby’s birthday and I have to find one more race after that to complete my 50 races before my 50th birthday.
