{Relationships} date night

We decided to celebrate Valentine’s D pop ay on Saturday instead of Friday (the day of) because, well, the crowds and craziness are not fun for me.

We had a very good dinner at Mt Fuji Hibachi. I had the filet mignon and scallops and hubby had the filet mignon and shrimp.

It was the young man’s birthday in the top photo on the far left, he was 14. He was there with mom, dad, sister and grandparents; sweet family, but it drove me crazy the kid had in his EarPods the entire time watching/listening to something he was holding beneath the table. He couldn’t hear well when someone addressed him, of course. I am concerned about the next generations who can’t seem to get through dinner having simple conversations, but instead stay hooked up to constant distractions.

We wandered to a couple stores, got some movie snacks (caramel apple for me, chocolate peanut butter sticks for Shane from Rocky Mtn Choc Factory) and settled in to watch a movie.

Had to send this one to S.

We saw “Love Hurts” starring the then-kid from Goonies that always said “That’s what I said!” It was a decent movie, funny in places, a little too violent in others, but entertaining overall.

It was a good end to a stressful day. Our drive home from Arvada mid-day was crazy in a snow storm with slippery roads, but it warmed up/melted enough to go out, and I am grateful.

Always remember to date your husband, it is so very important for a marriage, especially when you have children!

God Bless,
