Having a puppy is having a baby all over again!
Except I can put a baby in a baby sling, carry her everywhere and feed and change her and she’s content…and it’s much easier than figuring out what a puppy needs.
She’s now 3 1/2 months old. She sleeps through the night, usually up at 6 am, but it’s still a challenge! The girls are awesome at taking turns with her overnight and in the morning. She’s having far fewer accidents (thank goodness for ceramic floors and easy cleanup).
Since she’s a hiking and running dog, we started pretty quickly taking her on runs, walks and hikes.

Today J and I took her on a 4.45 mile walk to lunch and back. She did great!

Hubby took her on a 3 mile run yesterday.
I’ve taken her on several 2.5 mile runs, J and S took her on a long 2.5 mile walk. She’s also hiked twice now, about 3 miles each time.
We started out dragging her on her leash during much of our walks, because she was scared of everything. She’s doing better now, still scared at times, but she does a great job staying with us and not pulling much.
We popped into PetSmart after lunch for a little doggo socialization.
I was telling a friend yesterday that puppies are cute, but I’m looking forward to the calm adult dog that knows the ropes.

We are hoping to take her up a 14er in August, so training is important.
God Bless!
