There has been such a breakdown of culture lately, that it’s not a surprise that marriage rates are also declining. Many in Gen Z choose to cohabitate instead of marriage, and the consequence of that is the relationship is far easier to leave. Most are getting “engaged,” but not actually getting married.
The birth rate is also declining according to Newsweek:
The April NCHS report showed that the birth rate for mothers aged between 20 and 24 was 55.8 births per 1,000 females in 2024, dropping to 52.2 in 2025. For mothers aged 25 to 29, there was also a decrease in the birth rate over the year-long period, from 89.5 to 85.6.
In my own family, we see several close relatives approaching 30 and have either no plans to have a child, or having problems getting pregnant. Our culture has taught them it’s a negative experience, not a fulfilling one, and that having children is “selfish” or unaffordable. Having children is a sacrifice, and it’s true many people just aren’t willing to sacrifice.
The fertility decrease can be attributed to many things, but here are a few:
- Couples who choose not to have children because they would rather not make any sacrifice of their free time, me-time and money to their own hobbies. This group won’t feel the pain of their decisions until they are in their 50s and realize they have a completely shallow life.
- Decrease in fertility from waiting until their 30s to have children. Those who can afford infertility treatments will do so, without ever examining why their fertility is a problem. The rest will deal with their infertility by refocusing on themselves.
- We will see a bigger drop in fertility after the covid vaccine. Research has demonstrated the spike protein binds to Ace2 receptors, which includes the ovaries. In Pfizer’s original research, they manipulated the data to make it appear as if there was not an issue with miscarriage, but the truth was, 80% of women in the study miscarried in the first trimester. They combined that data with the subsequent trimesters to demonstrate a “normal” miscarriage rate. It has become more difficult to find the research as the propaganda has continued by pharma and physicians, but I predict the birth rates will continue to drop and the allopathy community will pretend they don’t know why. The vaccine was NOT tested for infertility in any way–in fact, section 13.1 of EVERY vaccine insert will show you that NO vaccine has been tested for its affect on fertility.
This isn’t exhaustive, but it’s very sad. I know several women who took the covid vax that are having serious problems getting pregnant. Once recently carried to term and is having severe heart palpitations and seizures.
With the excision of God from our culture, and any standard of morals, cohabitation has become the norm, putting off children is the norm, or even choosing a life without family. More than 50% of cohabitating couples never marry and break up. It makes leaving much easier when you don’t have to get a divorce through the courts, so I would imagine this is a factor.
Many women are learning to not have children without a marriage commitment, so this is a really good sign for that cultural issue, but it doesn’t solve the fertility rate.
Now you see why democrats are so focused on illegal immigration. Our birth rates are falling, so we import more voters and taxpayers, no matter what the consequences. Muslims are not having fewer kids. Indians are not either.
