Piper is 5 1/2 months now. She has more than doubled in size, and is such a typical lab. She steals socks when she can, she ALWAYS wants to eat; she wants nothing more than to be close to a member of the family at all times.

She’s still scared of many things. We’ve taken her for about 100 miles of walks and runs so far, and we are still trying to get her past her fears of barking dogs and loud cars.

She loves whipped cream, of course!
We have her on a mostly raw diet, some cooked foods, and we follow the recipes from DogsNaturally . We buy the bone meal, the gut health, and the protect from the store. We also use Safe Sea once a day.
Truthfully, it’s a little pricey. But the lifespan of dogs over the last 50 years have dropped by 5 years or more. If I’m going to put my time, effort and love into this dog (and early-on sleepless nights) then I want her to be healthy and live long.
I’m the same with my children. Food is one of our most expensive budget items.

She is starting to settle in. She sleeps well at night now—thank goodness! She is calming a bit, and I’m really looking forward to the calmer lab.
