{Family Life} New Year‘s Eve

{Family Life} New Year‘s Eve

We spent the day playing tennis in 35 degree weather We shopped for some treats and decorations, as the snow began. We prepared a nice dinner We played “minute to win it” type games. We then watched the rest of the Hawkeye series, and finished with the Nashville countdown. We barely made it to midnight! We toasted, and went to bed. Happy New Year!

Hubby and I were supposed to run the Garmin Oz Half Marathon last April. Because it was on A’s 17th birthday, she also wanted to complete it. So we signed four of the girls up for the 10K, and we signed up for the half. Then, they postponed it to a day two of the girls would not be able to go. In response, we cancelled our half marathon (we don’t like running virtuals much), and switched the girls over…

Early morning sorrow

Early morning sorrow

A rare, irregular case of English using -ful to make an adjective from an adjective (the only other one I can find is direful “characterized by or fraught…

We took the girls to a Rockies Game Star Wars Night. We had such a great time (though after 3 hours it was a little too “peopley” for me). They gave away free Darth Vader koozies (the girls were very excited about that) and the wildfires actually made it cooler out…but very smoky. I’m feeling the results of the bad air this morning.
