{outdoor life} canyon hike

It was a little chilly (45 degrees) and very windy today, but once we climbed down into the canyon, it was very pleasant. We love hiking together, scrambling over rocks, and getting into nature. We finished 3.2 miles today—not one of our longer hikes, but it was really good to get out today. We didn’t get as many hikes with the girls this year, so it’s on our 2022 bucket list to take more hikes with the girls

Hubby and I were supposed to run the Garmin Oz Half Marathon last April. Because it was on A’s 17th birthday, she also wanted to complete it. So we signed four of the girls up for the 10K, and we signed up for the half. Then, they postponed it to a day two of the girls would not be able to go. We started attended our Church memorial weekend. I felt desperate to find a church again–after leaving our last church for “going woke” and dismissing actual biblical theology–and we started feeling isolated and without church family. {Outdoor Life} Santa Stampede 5k (race #51)

Two of my girls are spending the week with their dad. Hubby is working 10 hours today, and two of my girls had choir practice from 8-11 am. I decided to run a 5k to kill time between dropping off and picking up my girls from church. It was below 30 degrees this morning, about 33 at the start, and 35 at the finish. It was a pretty run!
