{10th Anniv} Saturday. Our last day!

Hard to believe we are already here! Our last day. It’s our first 7 night cruise (we have done 4 night before) and I have to say it’s much more relaxing than a 4 night. Much more.

Proof we had breakfast at least once.
The adult pool.

We didn’t spend any time in the adult pool. This is what it looked like every minute it wasn’t raining. We aren’t hang-in-the-pool-and-do-nothing kind of people. There’s nothing wrong with it, for sure, I am just not a lay out and sun girl. I like to swim, and there was no swimming to be had.

We sought out more recreation instead.

We stumbled by the pineapple drink and had to get one. Fresh pineapple!
They were honoring veterans today and fallen soldiers.
The band is amazing! They played all of the branch songs and some patriotic music.
I was sporting my Navy shirt because we were going to watch the game in Playmakers sports bar.
I was impressed by their salute.
This is what Playmakers looked like. No signal. No game.

Probably a good thing the game wasn’t available, because they started really late and, well, lost. We didn’t stay long once we realized we wouldn’t get to see the game.

This is the track. There’s no room, chairs are even overlapping the track. We didn’t run.

We decided to go up to the deck and stroll, then go mini-golfing again. I posted before about the unruly children, but we had fun anyway. We didn’t keep score, the pencils were at the bottom of the bucket and gross.

Next was lunch (with the unruly family behind us).

We definitely had a theme to the day. 🤣

The little chocolates on the desserts were so cute.
We found the library and decided to play scrabble.

How did it go? Let’s just say I almost doubled Shane’s score. 🤪

While we were there, we saw several “duck hunters” enter. They are serious about it! We hid 6 ducks on our own earlier in the week and shane found one by accident.

Maybe I should explain. On most cruises, people like to bring and hide ducks to be found by others. You can keep the duck, or re-hide it. Some people take it way too seriously, especially adults, who had 5-10 of them in a pile. There’s a Facebook group where you can post pictures of the ducks, but I’m not on Facebook. I just enjoyed putting them out for kids to find. I labelled all of my ducks with names, and even put a Thomas Jefferson tidbit on one of the cards.

These are a few of the ducks we hid. We didn’t hide them very well, we just wanted kids to find them.

I didn’t get a picture of the duck Shane found. Maybe I’ll take a photo once at home.

We tried shuffleboard. We both are bad! But we each won one.

We played another Trivia and then got ready for our last night of dinner. This time: Giovanni’s

Dinner was so good.

Is that smoldering?
We got yet another Anniversary cake! And song.

And then our dessert.

A photographer came around and took photos. We weren’t dressed up, as it was the last night and we had to pack and put our suitcases out, but we got some fun photos! I’ll post those later.

We were so stuffed!!!

So we took a long, long walk on the deck.

It was a beautiful night. A little windy, but I love the sound of the ocean. The walk definitely helped digestion. It was the first time on the cruise I actually ate too much and felt uncomfortable.

We went to the starlight lounge for yet another game show. This time it was “The best couple” or something. It was a little dirty.

This one was really silly. We were going to volunteer but glad we didn’t! Calvin told me that he and his wife did it once and he described the games. He was spot on! They were a little dirty and I got a chuckle out of picturing them doing it at their age.

The farewell party was at 9:30: 70s music dancing on the Promenade. We stayed for a little while, but it was crazy packed and overwhelming.

We then tried one more hand at winning a prize; they put receipts from jewelry purchases in a raffle. Shane bought me a cruise charm for my pandora. We didn’t win.

Farewell party on the Promenade, 70s theme
Our final chance to win something. But we didn’t.

This is our complete path of the boat. We hugged the coast all the way back to reduce the “boat bounce” (my phrase). It helped and we had decent weather on Saturday.

Our suitcases were put outside of our door, and we turned in for the night.

Our debarkation time is 8:20 am, so breakfast at 6:30 am it is!

Good night peeps.
