{10th Anniv} Friday

Friday was a sea day. We woke up and had breakfast, and started looking for entertainment.

This was right up our alley. In fact, one of the first trivia questions was one we covered recently in our Key of Liberty Class (one of the kids brought it in) :

In Vermont, women must ask permission from her husband to get false teeth.

I didn’t know this one, but we are going to talk about this one:

Margarine cannot be colored yellow in Canada.
This is what most of the day looked like.

Our captain altered our path to ensure it wasn’t quite as bad on the ship. At one point, we were standing just inside the windows at the pool when a lightning strike happened at the pool. There were screams!!

Our Friday towel
Veranda view. we got about 15 minutes break in the clouds up there, then it started again.
Rolling back in again.
Am I the only one that loves the pattern of the sea kicked up by the ship?

We played many different trivia games that day, listened to music, watched a movie…

He’s not crabby, just eating.

Tonight was another specialty dining night: Chops Grill. I had filet mignon, Shane had the 16 oz bone-in Ribeye, and we shared sautéed mushrooms, spinach and asparagus. It was very tasty!

Yup, another game show.
Some of the answers were wonky, Just like the actual family feud.

The boat was very bumpy today, and I loved it. I don’t really get sea sick, I actually love the motion. Some people struggled though.

9:30 pm show:

Albert Lucas was the perfomer in the main theater. Apparently he is the youngest person to ever appear on the Ed Sullivan show. His father appeared when he was young and got a good contract. Albert Moreira (dad) was part of the acrobatic trio Los Gatos.

He was pretty good, but very self-aggrandizing. 15 minutes of the show was talking about all of his accomplishments and his father’s accomplishments.

I’m not that interested in juggling, I know it’s difficult, but it doesn’t excite me at all.

We were to bed a bit late again, but that’s “ship life.” I’m sure I am forgetting things, but that’s why I take so many photos, to try and remember.

Thanks for reading!
